Now that the MAP testing is behind us, we are continuing with fractions. Today's lesson was on a simple concept: decomposing fractions. All it means is what fractions add up to a given fraction? For example, take 3/4. 1/4+1/4+1/4=3/4 as well as 1/4+2/4.
To reinforce it, the students played a game called Roll It and Decompose It!
With my second block, I also reviewed adding mixed numbers with unlike denominators.
In science, we reviewed for tomorrow's quiz by playing Kahoot!
