Today was the second and final day of review for the retest tomorrow.  For the students who did not show mastery (>80%), it was pretty clear to me yesterday that they indeed know the material.  It looks like the problem was what I cautioned them against before taking the test:  reading and/or answering too quickly, not being careful, etc.  This is actually good news since those are things that can be easily fixed.  For other students, it comes down to studying, plain and simple.

The warm-ups are still reinforcing prior material to keep it fresh.

Afterwards, the students did a review crossword puzzle.  This served as both a review and an enrichment for students.

I am planning out the next unit, Energy:  Conservation and Change.  The calendar page has been updated to show when the quizzes and tests are.

Lastly, third block was shorter in duration due to the African Drum performance.
