Today I sent home the parent consent forms for this year's field trip to JA Biztown. The cost is $25 and both the form and money are due on the 28th of this month. As soon as I can get an electronic copy, I will have it posted.
In literacy, we reviewed for the Caesar's English quiz tomorrow. Students can take the practice quiz here. We also began a new story in the Jacob's Ladder format.
For math, we covered greatest common factor and least common multiple. The lesson is below. I introduced two new graphic organizers for the students to use and passed them out as well as the factoring one from yesterday. All of them can be downloaded here. Tomorrow I will go over prime and composite numbers and touch on prime factors too if time permits. Further below is a copy of the warm-up and exit tickets. The answer key will be on the embedded video.
In science, I had the students do an enrichment activity (see below). To save time, I created a Google Form and had the students enter their responses. That in turn is compiled into a spreadsheet.
