Today is our first Early Release Day of the year (1 of 4) and students were dismissed at 1:15. The order of classes was the same, only the day was shorter in duration. Below was today's schedule:
In literacy, most of the period was based on figurative language with Mr. McDonald and myself.
In math, we did some review work for Friday's test. Though the lesson was only 30 minutes in duration, I still recorded it and it posted below.
In science, I had the students take their notes and make vocabulary note cards. This will help them study the material better.
Since it was an early release day, all students ate lunch in their classrooms and only those who were purchasing lunch from the cafeteria were allowed to go. They were sent in groups to the cafeteria to get their lunches and then return to their classrooms.
Tomorrow is Curriculum Night from 5:30 - 6:30. I am doing the science part of the curriculum (of course!) while Mr. Thompson is doing math (again....of course!). Ms. Fletcher and Ms. Brown are likely teaming up to do literacy and Ms. Apoldo will likely float between my room and Mr. Thompson's.
