10/19/2018

With parent-teacher conferences now underway, I am going to be posting each entry later on in the evening.  There is a big literacy test tomorrow and Wednesday, administered over a two day period.

In science, we began the new unit (Force and Motion) by doing a warm-up.  The basic question in the warm-up is whether or not magnetism depends on air to work.  The answer is no, magnetic forces work anywhere.

Then, students were placed in their groups.  Each group was given a magnet and a container with various items, some attracted to a magnet, some not.  The task:  test each item to see it it is attracted to the magnet or not.  Then, fill out the chart in their science notebooks.
