Today's literacy focus was on context clues again but another strategy: deconstructing a word if it has a prefix or suffix. Sometimes words that have those add-ons can be taken apart. We focused on the variations of the "not" prefixes.
Then students did their own Exit Ticket to make sure that they understood. I would then pull a small group or two depending on how many students did not understand. Today, all of them were successful. .
In JA Biztown, students voted for Mayor and then were given their assigned jobs in their assigned companies. Each business' CEO was given the packet and was in charge of getting things done according to its contents.
