Our focus was on the quantitative (numbers) graphics such as graphs and charts and how they help the reader to understand a text better.  We did a warm-up that was a review of context clues.

The correct answer is A, for the context of the word bill means an amount that is due, or owed.  Students used the strategy of looking at how it is used in the text and substituting each answer choice in the sentence.

Then we gathered at the carpet and we discussed what each graph or numeric visual was supposed to convey.
