We come to the end of another week but this time it was a full week, something that we haven't had in a while. Next week on Wednesday, we will have the final early-release day of the year. If you look at the calendar you will see that we only have a few more normal weeks of school. What I mean by normal is that there are five complete days in the week and all of them are on a normal schedule. With the common assessments coming up in early May and with the end-of-grade tests around Memorial Day, you can see what I mean.
Today in math we started the final part of the geometry unit and will continue it on Monday. This last concept involves using adding and subtracting to determine the measure of an unknown angle. It can either be two smaller angles added up or subtracting a smaller angle from a larger angle. Below is the graphic that I included in this week's parent email. If you look in the left hand column, you will see two examples.
