The final full week of November has come to an end and everyone is looking forward to a two day week when we return on Monday. As I had mentioned (or alluded to) before, next week will be a finishing-up of the unit, Matter: Properties and Change since beginning something new on a two day week preceding a holiday isn't the best idea. Plus, I am pretty confident that out attendance will be down on Monday and even more so on Tuesday. If your child will not be here on either (or both) days next week then I would like to wish you a happy and wonderful Thanksgiving! If you are going to be among the millions traveling during that time, then I want to add a wish of safe travel for you too! The weekly email has gone out and I will be sending out a brief one on Tuesday.
The students did one of two things: retake the test or make questions. For those who retested, I had them work in another room to avoid distractions. The ones who remained created questions based on anything/everything covered this year so far for a board game. I need a good 35-40 questions for this to work and on Monday they will write the questions (with answers below) on 3x5 note cards. On Tuesday, the plan is to play the game. That is all for this week. Have a great weekend and as I mentioned above, if your child will not be here next week, have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
