Conferences for me officially began yesterday and will continue on Thursday and Friday of next week and all day on October 31st. If you still haven't signed up, please do so by clicking on the following link: http://www.millersclass.com/parent-teacher-conferences.html
Pictures and/or money are due on Monday.
Also, the weekly parent email was sent out today.
In literacy, we continued with some reading comprehension and I also allocated time during that block for some more JA Biztown material.
In math, the students took their Warm-Up Quiz that occurs almost every Friday with the exception of having a major test such as a quarterly common assessment. As was expected, all of them did well. The only concern that I have this year is not with the lack of knowing the content but with making easily preventable errors.
In science, we did an experiment to test the electrical conductivity of different materials such as copper, steel, jute, rubber, wood, etc. I had both a multimeter and two LED lights to show whether or not it worked.
