This week is going to be more literacy-based since we do have the EOG coming up, Wednesday is the final early-release day, and this helps reinforce the science content.
Today during the independent literacy time, I had the students who were absent on Friday (either for the Chorus field trip at Carrowinds or simply being out) to make up the vocabulary quiz.
After that, we did the warm-up:
After the warm-up, we reviewed the concepts for the ecosystem unit and then watched a brief Tigtag video on adaptation:
I then gave the students some class time to finish up their Design Your Own Dinosaur project.
The main focus was giving the students an assignment in STEMscopes which involves reading the text and answering five questions.
Early finishers continued working on their social studies pirate project.
Also, tomorrow is Career Day so the schedule will be much different. Wednesday is an early release day (1:15).
