We begin a new week (the last full school week in December) with a study of area, which is the amount of two-dimensional space that an object takes up.

In science we did a brief experiment with the property of light absorption.  I took a quick temperature reading of the board and then I shined a spotlight on it for one minute.  After the minute was up, I took another temperature reading and saw that the board's temperature increased by a degree.
