Today we begin the final week before the End-of-Grade tests, at least for the 4th grade. Grades 3 and 5 will have testing on Wednesday and Thursday of this week but that only marginally affects this grade.
For us, this is the final week to prepare and review for the upcoming tests in math, reading, and science. As a reminder to parents, students will take official state End-of-Grade tests in math and reading. The science exam is different. It will be more for my accountability and will not effect the students.
Since we are in preparation mode, this week is devoted to getting ready for the science exam on Monday, June 4th. Each day will be specifically designated to review one or two units. Today's review was Forces and Motion and Matter: Properties and Change.
Also, this Thursday is when my annual Parent Satisfaction Survey goes live. This is a way for parents to give anonymous feedback that I can use for either seeing what I am doing right and for what to focus on for next year.
