We began a three school day week with tomorrow being Election Day and a teacher workday and Friday being Veterans Day. This is definitely November!
In literacy we focused on the JA Biztown stuff and the class took the Caesar's English quiz. I will not have them graded for a few days but I will as soon as possible. In math, we focused on long division. Multiplication and long division will be the focus this month and next month will be dedicated to area and perimeter. ![]()

We continued to focus on long division but I did teach them short division though I will cover it on Wednesday too.
In science we simulated the formation of sedimentary rock and the Law of Superposition. What that means is that as sediment gets dropped (deposition) into layers, the oldest layers are found the lower you go. We used Playdoh to simulate it and the students got to take it home.
