Now that the MAP testing is behind us, we are continuing with fractions.  Today's lesson was on a simple concept:  decomposing fractions.  All it means is what fractions add up to a given fraction?  For example, take 3/4.  1/4+1/4+1/4=3/4 as well as 1/4+2/4.  

To reinforce it, the students played a game called Roll It and Decompose It!

With my second block, I also reviewed adding mixed numbers with unlike denominators.
