Today the students played Kahoot in preparation for tomorrow's quiz. The quiz will consist of only ten multiple choice questions. All of the questions will be on the current Microbiology unit. Due to the short amount of time that we had, all ten of the questions will be based on two things: reading comprehension skills and common sense. If the students can read a chart and discern information; if the students can use common sense to disregard the obvious absurd answers, they will do well; if the students take their time and carefully read over the test, they will do fine. Today's warm-up was a compilation of two older warm-ups on one sheet to review: Students will also continue to work on their science poster tomorrow.
Next week will be a short week due to Friday being a teacher workday again. Each one of the four days will be devoted to reviewing a unit (forces and motion, matter, etc.). I WAS planning on doing two Kahoot sessions next week. Unfortunately, I have decided that due to the increased instances of very poor behavior, I will no longer be doing Kahoot. It is regrettable and this is the last thing that I wanted to do but I can no longer justify doing it.
