Today was devoted to the third and final MAP test of the year for math. Yesterday the students had already taken the literacy portion of the MAP test.
One thing did change as of 10:00 am this morning: students who take math in the afternoon will take the MAP test tomorrow to allow them a break from testing. They will begin first thing after announcements. This applies to my homeroom students and students in Ms. Carpenter's class who were absent today. One week from today is the 5th and final math common assessment. It too will be a simulated End-of-Grade test in which students will have up to four hours to complete it. Tomorrow we will cover the final new content for 4th grade math: line plots and we will finish it on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be for multi-step word problems using the knowledge that they already have. From Monday onward (except for Tuesday's test) the focus will be on review in preparation for the End-of-Grade tests on Wednesday, May 24th (literacy - as far as I know) and Thursday, May 25th (math - as far as I know).
