We are finishing up the week of order of operations and next week we will be heading into decimals. We had one more day of practice involving both exponents and without them. I also touched on writing a variable expression for a given word phrase. For example, "9 less than k" is used. K is a variable to represent an unknown number, "9 LESS" means to subtract. Therefore, the expression would be: "k-9." Simple! Below is the downloadable copy of the sheet I used for students exercises that were written on the board.
