In math, we learned (more like reviewed for the most part) about rounding decimals. Truly, as students have come to discover, math is all about patterns. Everything in math is built upon a simpler concept. Rounding is no different. I told both of my classes that if they can round whole numbers, they can certainly round decimals. I was right. There were, of course, a few errors, but I am happy to say that most of the ones who struggled at the beginning were confidently answering by the end.
Tomorrow there will be a skill check for the decimal place value unit tomorrow. I am happy to say that it will be on paper!
I did create a practice quiz so students can prepare for it. It is on the Google Classroom (both classes) and below.
