This morning we had an assembly by a representative of Manifesto13.  This is an art studio that specializes in sustainable things.  The presentation was about the environment, climate change, and most importantly:  the fact that each one of us is empowered to make a change.  When all of us choose to do our part, however small, we can make a huge impact.  More details will be forthcoming but there will be a film festival and students will be making short films about the issue of our negative impact upon our world.  They may work individually, with a partner, or in a small group.  It can be live action or animated.

This took up the math block so there was no math instruction today nor will there be tomorrow due to MAP testing.

In social studies, students worked on their research projects.

In literacy we are working on reading stamina.  We are going to focus on theme next week.
